Recommendation
1. Rinsing is an important preparation for dental handpiece maintenance. When rinsing, align the air intake on the back of the handpiece with the pressurized detergent nozzle and rinse the inside of the handpiece with detergent. Then connect the handpiece to the dental chair, do not remove the handpiece (most handpieces should not be removed while it is running), start the machine and clean the leftover debris and detergent in the handpiece.
2. The closer a dental handpiece is to a heat source, the more susceptible its internal components are to deterioration. The heat source for the HPHT sterilizer is at the bottom, so a sterilized paper bag with a handpiece should be on top of the sterilizer, away from the heat source and not at the bottom.
Most sterilizers have a high-temperature drying procedure after they have been sterilized. This is an important part of preventing the dental handpiece from rusting. If this program fails, it should be repaired in time.
